News: Issue 2 Swims Into View
Saturday, September 29, 2007
It's been a busy time here at GUD. Issue 2 (Spring 2008) has been like a swan—all serene silence on the surface, but lots of paddling going on furiously underneath. We're now happy to announce the results of that diligence.
The first round of copyedits is complete—i's have been dotted and t's crossed. Contracts have winged their way to our contributors, and are hastening back again with signatures on their bottom lines. Soon, authors will be asked to approve edits, our artists will be invited to submit high-res versions of their art, and we'll proceed to .pdfs.
It's been a hard swim, but we hope that when you hold Issue 2 in your hands—or admire it on your monitor—you'll agree it was worth the effort.
The image linked above is a teaser detail from Issue 2's cover, art by Cameron Gray.
As ever, there's even more happening in the deeps, and we'll keep you updated as soon as things surface.
One little tidbit is that we've also added ourselves to the "for readers" social network, goodreads. We'll keep our list on the original post updated, at least until we find a better spot on the website to keep track.

Hello! Newbie here. Does this mean that my submission has been declined for the next Issue? A little confused!

Not at all! Your story is short listed for Issue 3 :), which means we're giving it serious consideration.
