If you didn't see the red CLOSED notice when you submitted, then your submission is fine. If you did see the notice, then what were you doing submitting anyway? :D. But Don't Panic! Issue 7 isn't closed. We're just giving ourselves a breathing space to work on wonderful, shiny, forthcoming Issue 5.

So we've invited Paul Bryant to write a few words about possibly the greatest Irish writer of them all--James Joyce. Born in Dublin in 1882, Joyce grew up in an improvident Catholic family; as an adult, he supported himself first by teaching and then through patronage, the time-honoured way of being creative without starving in the process.
